BAGHDAD -- At least 14 youths have been stoned to death in Baghdad in the past three weeks in what appears to be a campaign by Shiite militants against youths wearing Western-style "emo" clothes and haircuts, security and hospital sources say.
Militants in Shiite neighborhoods where the stonings have taken place circulated lists on Saturday naming more youths targeted to be killed if they do not change the way they dress.
The killings have taken place since Iraq's interior ministry drew attention to the "emo" subculture last month, labeling it "Satanism" and ordering a community police force to stamp it out.
"Emo" is a genre of punk rock music that originated in the United States in the 1980s. Fans are known for their distinctive dress, often including tight jeans, T-shirts with logos and distinctive long or spiky haircuts.More

Sadly, that is how these countries operate. I think it is funny that Iraq's ministry says that dressing emo is satanic when clearly the Iraqi ideals are the definition of satanic.
WE have no one to blame but ourselves. Atleast under Saddam Hussein's rule, the muslim extremists were kept under wraps. He hated them almost as much as we did. He didn't want them overthrowing his govenment as they did to the Shah of Iran.
Expect the same in Egypt now that Mubarak is gone and also in Libya.

11:19. It's all about who is getting these military contracts and the arms dealers. The arms dealers are selling to both sides of conflicts and donating to polictical campaigns. It has nothing to do with democracy but all to do with money in the hands of the big wigs at the companies who supply militaries who in turn finance political campaigns.
They figure is they keep on feeding us the democracy baloney we won't catch on to the real and true reasons.
It's crazy - in Iraqi they are stoning kids for wearing "emo" clothes. In America, the "emo" kids are getting themselves stoned.
C'mon, man. Stop denigrating the religion of peace. And by peace, I mean, as long as the women don't try driving anywhere, or leaving the house without asking a man if its okay, or try to get an education. Or having teenagers do what teenagers around the world do (act differently, sometimes just for the thrill of pissing the older generation off). Then, the only peace the "religion of peace" will bring you is the peace of eternal rest. Unless you are a guy. Then you get to go to heaven and have all the virgins you can handle, or 76, whichever comes first. Then you get to set them on fire (because they aren't virgins anymore). Just like on Earth.
