Nothing O Malley you took it all.
I’m bothered by the cancer in our local MSM whom choose to keep the populace ignorant of hard facts. I’m talking about our local Daily Times and TV station’s WBOC & WDMT How can they state they have journalistic integrity when they have no desire to pursue what we used to call “investigative journalism”. Adding no real value to issues that effect and concerns all hard working class people in this area. It concerns me how you fail to address our local concerns (incompetent BOE, excessive fees, WWTP, political corruption, spending, taxes, & incompetent mayors) but quick cater to the “New Political Good Ole boy network of disgruntled X employees. I’m upset that you fail to address the subject of why our past city, county and state politics are so incompetent. Why current and past Local and state agencies have stolen from the “Different color Monies” and used them for other pet projects. Why do you let our Political leaders and Unions bully us into thinking its just for the kids when we know that’s BS…Why do we not now the real reason for a recent flip flop vote on a school funding issue? Whose pockets were lined with that deal? It wasn’t mine! Why are you not screaming for School Vouchers to get the wasteful education spending under control, why are you not screaming to lock down lottery revenues for Education only, why are you not investigating and accurately reporting on the current BOE waste and horrible ethics, bogus Council ethics violation, state misappropriation of funds, excessive fee increases, ? Why do you cry foul when the current sitting council executes the will of the people and not special interest? Why are you not screaming No more taxes but, screaming manage the funds you get more responsibly!. Screaming use it for the services you claim the funds were taxed for!! Why are you not investigating some of the hot issues addressed on the blogs, why do you publish and promote half truths and disinformation? I no longer want to pay for some illegal to go to school and feed his kids, when I struggle to feed and send my own. I don’t want to pay for six welfare babies , WIC, Medical, Housing, cell phones to prop up an irresponsible juvenile, who has made a career out of government dole. Why? Why …We know why. It’s because you’re sleepy with the enemy. It’s because you support these industries these bureaucracies Yes you are the enemy of the people who pay taxes, work hard, mind their own business & struggle daily to make ends meet. It’s because you support these ideals and it’s never ending cycle of abuse of to our freedom, constitutional rights that we seek the truth from other sources you no longer provide insight, can no longer be trusted, respected or feared! Your bosses are not us! As it should be… and this is why you fail to miserable to serve the community. THAT’S WHY….Beware I am paying attention to who supports you and allows this malfeasance to continue
Money grabbing Governor.
This is all well and good but what about responsiblity? Why not have those that are receiving these goods, trade an hour or 2 of volunteerism in exchange? The lesson learned would be valuable in teaching not only responsiblity but also that nothing is free.
For too long we've been "giving away the fish and not teaching people how to fish" and we have created a dependency that's out of control.
The disabled and elderly are a completely different story and are not able to give back. As far as the ones who are "stressed and downtrodden" what could be better therapy then getting out and doing something esp something which involves physical labor which is not only good for the body but also remarkable for the soul. Idle minds can make those who feel stressed more likely to dwell on their problems and keep them awake at nights worrying.

Unfortunately, it is what it is. My industry took a downturn sooner than others and I was faced with making some quick decisions. I sold out of my place near Annapolis and moved to Delaware. What I realized early on was that a downturn in family income did not mean a downturn in taxes MD was assessing from me. Fixed income did not mean fixed taxation. Somebody offered me a price I could not turn down for my place in MD and I jumped.
Looking back, there are many that are stuck now. Their Governor can tax them mercilessly and they have no recourse. The real estate market has them stuck and unable to escape the MD taxes. In 4 years though, things will get better and I expect a mass exodus from MD into places like Delaware. You can already see it in some of the commercial development along the border.
What's sad about this is he does it with no remorse and calls it making tough decisions in the name of creating jobs.Nothing could be further from the truth.

Sorry for the implied cursing, but someone said that to me once about Maryland, and I just thought that was funny!

They wanted the casinos for income and now I heard they need tax money to help them.
This is why I chose to live in Delaware when I return to the eastern shore. Now, I'm glad I did. However, you folks from Wicomico County Salisbury Maryland; keep your good ole boy system of things and downright dirty politics out of Delaware. We don't want you and your bags of tricks.
Another should read when you cross over the borders into Maryland should now say:
Welcome to Maryland now pull over!
