As if there wasn't enough unemployment in the country, Jared Bernstein, wh was the Chief Economist and Economic Adviser to Vice President Joe Biden, executive director of the White House Task Force on the Middle Class, and a member of President Obama’s economic team, is calling for a hike in the minimum wage from it's current federal level of $7.25 to the $9.00 to $10.00 range.

Obama should study Milton Friedman a little more. He just may learn a thing or two.
The minimum wage is a pay off to the unions. Many of their contracts are tied to it. If the wage goes up so do their wages.
The cost of living is continuing to rise. It's about time minimum wage does too. Maybe then the people that have lost jobs will be able to get back on their feet.
The first two posts come from educated respondents. As an educated black man, I'll tell you that black males suffer the highest unemployment rates...Why: A business isn't going to pay someone $11.00 an hour to sweep the supermarket floor.
The extra four dollars comes from paying social security and putting aside unemployment benefits. In the inner city, liberals voting for democrats keep young black men that want to work unemployed.
Maybe they want to so they can be lifelong democrats and depend on the government. It’s been working since 1964, and I see generational welfare recipients in the Crisfield Projects that has fallen prey to the ignorance of liberals.
