Women are repressed far worse than this in most Islamic cultures--this would represent great freedom for alot of women around the globe. And we are throwing it all away here.

Two things missing. Heels and her 38.

what exactly is this "great freedom" that you speak of that is shown in this picture.....while i agree, housewives are generally less oppressed than for some females in islamic cultures, this seems to be a pic that screams "serve your husband to show you love your husband."

granted, this picture is meant to sell ties...so the real message this pic sends is unfortunately, "van heusen ties turn women into slaves and bring them to their knees"......ah, the old days (sarcasm font engaged)

Republicans still trying to take us back to those good old days. Guess I should add the Catholic Church to that too.

The freedom to not be shrouded head to toe in a burqa, to have intact genitalia not butchered in puberty, to have plentiful food, and financial security......to be able to drive, vote, attend school....etc.etc.

Ever since the late 60's this country has gone to hell due to the liberals and fem nazi types that get all worked up over an ad like this, this country was in much better shape back when there were two parents under one roof and women raised the kids.
