Lewes Walgreens Pharmacy Robbery

Walgreens, 17239 Five Points Square, Lewes, DE

Date of Occurrence:
Wednesday February 2, 2012 at 1:45 a.m.

Victim:
40 year old male employee

Suspect:
White male, 25-35 years of age, 5”10”-6”0” tall, 175-200 lbs. Last seen wearing black jacket, grey pants, dark hat, white sneakers and dark colored gloves.

Resume:
Lewes, DE-Delaware State Police Detectives are investigating the robbery of the Walgreens Pharmacy located in Five Points Plaza, which occurred early this morning.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. this morning as the suspect entered the Walgreens located in Five Points Square. The suspect approached the 40 year old female employee at the pharmacy counter. The suspect presented a demand note for prescription narcotics and implied that he had a gun. The employee complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of narcotic medication. The suspect fled the store on foot with the narcotics. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
