What happened to Don Richardson?
don richardson is on the second floor. the first floor was atlantic technology services. their sign said they were expanding to a space back in the industrial park. at least they didn't go out of business like so many other local companies!
I wish, but I know it's futile, that downtown could be a vibrant retail area once again, but being able to rent out this very desirable space is better than having it empty. I suppose that downtown will just be office space, but at least it will be a destination for some. Bravo to the few souls who do rent retail space downtown, especially Kuhn's Jewelers.
Well Hell I will drink to that!!!
anonymous 2:10, that has to be Mayor Ireton, right?
Excellent, now I will have to crossover to the other side before I get to the health dept. No doubt there will be a half dozen or so "patients", standing out front blocking the sidewalk puffing away in a cloud of smoke from their legal addiction while they are supposed to be getting treated for their illegal addiction. Downtown gets scarier every day.
338, I was thinking all that when I posted my comment (2:04), but I decided to try to keep it somewhat positive. You are righ, though. I guess it will be much like the Health Department in the next block. It's bad when the clients have to stand outside and smoke, but worse when the employees do. After all, it's a HEALTH department!
Design Atlantic occupied the thrid floor. What happen to them?
design atlantic is still there. only the 1st floor tenant (atlantic technology services) moved.
Hopefully they'll put a few quarters in the meter and help the city out?
The Law Office of Don Richardson is still very much open and takes up the entire second floor of the building.
Anon 338 and 349 - 1) no body smokes more than Don Richardson!so that shouldnt be an issue.. and 2) Its a DUI treatment facility... its not sex offenders or murderers! And their classes are in the evening because, unlike the health department, most people who are being treated for DUI's work. Negative Nancies, this is a good thing for downtown, not making it 'scarier'!
