Detectives Search For Serial Robbery Suspect

Suspect:

Black male, 5’08” tall, 160-180 lbs. Suspect wore a tan ski mask which covered his face in all of the incidents and was also armed with a black semi-automatic hand gun. (Surveillance photograph below)

Georgetown, DE- Delaware State Police as well as the Selbyville Police Department are investigating a series of armed robberies which they believe have been committed by the same man.

Beginning Monday, December 19, 2011, the Delaware State Police and the Selbyville Police Department have responded to four armed robberies of commercial establishments in the Selbyville, Ocean View, and Millville areas in Sussex County, Delaware. In each instance a black male suspect with his face concealed with a ski mask has entered the business and confronted the employees while displaying a hand gun. The suspect then demanded and received an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries in any of the incidents.

The Delaware State Police are asking anyone who may have any information in reference to these robberies or who may recognize the suspect pictured below, to contact the Major Crimes Unit at Troop 4 at 302-856-5850 ext. 208 or the Selbyville Police Department at 302-436-5085. Citizens may also provide a tip by texting keyword “DSP” plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES). Tipsters may also provide information through lines maintained by Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333. Callers can also submit information via the internet at www.tipsubmit.com.

I enlarged the picture and he looks white to me. I'm sure the authorities have better pictures.

Who ever was working that night in the take-out side of Pomeroy's said that the first words out of the robbers mouth were, I really hate to have to do this but.........
