ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Maryland watermen say they are finding most of the oysters dead on bars above the Bay Bridge. And they are blaming heavy rains this fall from Tropical Storm Lee and Hurricane Irene.
Josh Davidsburg, a spokesman for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, says teams are sampling oyster bars to determine a cause and could have some preliminary answers later this week.

Another example of interest groups trying to get more monies for the Bay Foundation and to get watermen off of the Bay. The TRUTH is, oysters have been dead north of the bridge for years now. I am sure the storms didn't help matters but they were not the leading culprit. Maybe they should look at pollution coming out of Baltimore City through the Potapsco River.
Heavy rain?
How about chemical poisoning?
That rain will do it every time. Oysters don't like rain you know. Too much water is bad for them.
Tell us some more lies government
10:52, you must be one of these idiots that falls for every attack ad and chain email.
For the first two commenters, extremely low salinity and siltation takes oysters out alot quicker than pollution
