Luckily most U.S. cities accept change are not populated with a bunch of old fogies like they are in Berlin. They are adjusting to modern times and making progress while those old farts in Berlin who still think we're living in the Fred Flintstone era are keeping the town moving towards their backwards ways.
They think every single itty bitty piece of property in Berlin is "historic" when they are in fact "prehistoric", which is why it is the most lamest and boring U.S. cities I have ever visited in my life. What an eyesore!

Call them old fogies all you want. History in this country is as disposable as fries wrappers and used Kleenex. Berlin is a cute town because it gave a damn about preserving, unlike Salisbury that looks like any slum anywhere.

3:53 I agree and just because a home is in a historical district doesn't mean it is historically significant. Most towns and cities realize this and know if they halted the demolition of every old house in the district the district would become nothing but a bunch of dilapidated ramshackled huts.
