Drivers Question Wisdom Of Tampering With Per Gallon Tax
BALTIMORE -- Lawmakers are taking up the proposal to raise gas tax by 15 cents per gallon in Annapolis on Tuesday.
The governor supports raising the state's gas tax for the first time in 20 years, but many drivers question the wisdom of tampering with the gas tax when they said they're already struggling to pay their bills.
Drivers said every trip to the pump is a drain on the wallet, as gas prices hover around $3.50 per gallon.

"A fee is a tax Bob". Oh wait a minute that is a tax and we didn't elect Bob Erlich. Somebody please wake me up from this nightmare with all these tax and spend liberals in power.
If the transportation fund needs more money, why do they not just put back the money they "borrowed" from it??
HOW does the fifteen tax on gas provide jobs? We have to have gas to go to work..If gas is too high and we cant go to work even if we found a job?????
At a time when they should be cutting taxes and slashing spending remember in November.
