Free Trade, Free Trade, Free Trade

Congress passed three so-called Free Trade agreements last night – meaning transnational corporations now have new pools of cheap labor in Colombia, South Korea, and Panama.

All three trade deals were passed with bipartisan support in both Chambers of Congress despite the face that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid was against them – and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi expressed skepticism about the Colombia deal. Over the last two decades – we’ve seen the effects of these so-called Free Trade deals on our economy. We’ve seen trade surpluses turn into massive trade deficits. We’ve seen millions of factories and manufacturing jobs shipped overseas. And we’ve seen the wealth and power of transnational corporations explode while small businesses collapse. Yet – our lawmakers – continue to buy into this gimmick year after year. It’s time to put down the Free Trade Kool-Aid.

Amen! During the campaign, Obama promised labor that he would look into free trade agreements and work to have them dismantled if they were hurting the American worker. What happend to that promise Mr. Obama. We WON'T forget your lies and give you our votes again should you be foolish enough to run 2012!

But it's ok, the REPUBLICANS did it! Nothing wrong with it in that case, right?
Watch even MORE jobs be shipped overseas!
The Republican party could care less about American workers. They'd rather ship those jobs somewhere else so they can make a bigger bottom line.
They don't care that the products will probably be inferior to what we would make in this country! It's all about the dollars!
Look at all the recalls in the last 10 years or so. Where were those products made? Not here!

11:26,
No, it's not alright! The Republicans and Democrats are both guilty of selling out America and those who elect them. At least Bush and Clinton told us they were going to do it. Members of both parties who support these agreements are traitors and should be replaced with people who want to represent those who elect them! Obama is worse than Clinton or Bush on this matter because during his campaign he told the labor vote he was courting that he KNEW these agreements were a problem and promised to work to dismantle them. HE LIED.. "change we can believe in" my ass. There seems to be NO ONE left in American politics that we, the average, legal American citizen" can believe in. Repulican, Democrat, what's the difference? They both sell us out to the highest bidder!
I've come to believe that the only difference between the vast majority of politicians from both parties and a bucket of monkey poop is the bucket.
