O'Malley: US Credit Rating Downgrade Unjustified

BALTIMORE (AP) - Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley says the downgrade of the U.S. credit rating was not justified.

The Democrat discussed the issue Sunday morning on ABC's "This Week." O'Malley called the downgrade a mistake, but he says the decision by the Standard & Poor's credit agency was understandable.

He says officials have been unable to come together on what he called "the most important issue facing our country," which is job creation.

Of course O'Malley is going to ridicule S&P's decision. Isn't that the way the liberal left has always reacted in order to try and undermine reality.

O'Malley's administration could be the next victim for a credit downgrade. If I were a credit agency executive - I would have already done it.

Him and other spendthrift politicos like him amaze me. I guess if I was making $50,000 a year, owed $50.000 on my credit cards, and needed money to make a payment and normal expenses, the credit card company would be wrong to deny me a credit line increase thinking I was a risk. These fools max out their credit and believe the only solution is to get more money from those busting buns to survive. A major change of habit, for them, doesn't even seem to be a fleeting idea. Disgusting.

O'Failly should shut his mouth from time to time... He is part of the problem... Making business leave Maryland for hiss stupid fees, and taxes and just plain Jane ran them out of Maryland, then has the gulls to complain...

Just like city of Salisbury does to...

All of your comments are right on!! I am always amazed at how the left looks at things. What planet do they live on??!? Maryland will NEVER get business to move here as long as we have a governor who places regulation after regulation on businesses. They just don't get it!! The business world knew this downgrade was coming. Why do our politicians seem so surprised at this action?

So I wonder what makes O'Malley such an expert on economics. Standard and Poor is highly regarded and did not make this decision lightly. They knew the repercussions of their decision.
