U.S. stock futures followed global shares sharply lower on Monday morning, extending the worst weekly rout since 2008, on the heels of Standard & Poor's downgrade of America’s credit rating. With an hour before the opening bell, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures tumbled 204 points, or 1.8%, to 11,197.

You are sorely misguided. The market is clearly a manipulated fixed game.
Invest in commodities. The dollar and the U.S. economy are being crashed right before our eyes. Turn your dollars into the commodities you normally buy with them before the inflation kicks in earnest.

You and I are saying the same thing. There is no free market. There is a Monopoly market - the ultra rich control competition and stifle it (ie. Walmart, Wawa, etc)
Capitalism leads to monopoly - because the rich don't want to compete with each other. It was the job of the government to look out for the consumer and stop or break up monopolies. The government was taken over by the very corporations who created the monopolies.
It ends in a Corporate Facist Police State - where the government works hand in hand with the corporate facists.
America as we once knew it is gone. It is history.

The government doesn't give one iota for the average citizen. They have been bribed to look the other way as corporate America manipulates and wrings the last pennies from us. Don't think so? Check your 401(k). How much is the interest on your credit cards? Has ANY election in the last 20-25 years brought any relief to the middle class?
