11:28 I am sure there were morons like you saying the same thing in New Orleans when Katrina hit. Many thought that would be nothing but a wimpy storm and they didn't even evacuate the way we are here. It is better to be safe than dead!!! I would have hoped that the devastation of Hurricane Katrina would be a lesson but I guess for some they will never learn.

This very well may turn out to be a "wimpy storm," but it just shows us the fallibiliby of weathercasters, including all those at the Hurricane Center, many with doctorates. They have all the latest techniques--Doppler radar, all sorts of "models," etc., but hurricanes have a mind of their own. Only God really knows where the storm is going to go. All the technology available to the media still can't predict 100% accurately. I'd like to err on the side of caution. If the storm turns out to be "wimpy," then we lucked out. I can see, though, how the constant mispredictions make so many people cynical about weather forecasting.

I don't know about WalMart, but I did go to Sam's this morning when it opened at 7:00.

People are such sheep. The MSM tells us to panic, so we panic. Thank God we have Joe around here to keep us well-grounded in reality!
