Teen, 18, Sought for Extortion

Delaware State Police are searching for an 18-year-old Lewes man after a 15 year-old girl said he tried to extort money from her.

The girl met Ahmad Othman through an acquaintance, and he later came to her place of employment, told her he was with the "Mob" and demanded that she pay him money, said Cpl. Bruce Harris of Delaware State Police.

Othman picked her up and drove her to a bank so she could cash her paychecks, and Harris said he continues to text the girl demanding payment. He threatens to kill her if she does not cooperate and has taken more than $1,200 from her, Harris said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 644-5020 ext. 0, 1-800-TIP-3333, text DSP plus 274637 or email www.tipsubmit.com.

I think he looks more like a future suicide bomber. But he probably wasn't smart enough to pass the test.

How does a 15 year old have access to that kind of money? Where are her parents?
