I Have A Question?

Nagasaki 1945, after the atomic bomb.
Nagasaki 2011, following earthquake and tsunami

What the heck is that arch made of?!

no clue what it is, but maybe they should build everything from it

The question should not be, what is it made of, but should be how was it constructed.

Those of us that are familiar with Japanese joinery do not find it surprising that the Torii stands undamaged.

It's made from sheer will power and determination. We need to make small replicas of those things... weave them together, make flack jackets with them and equip our troops with those things, it would make them virtually invincible!

Wood ...... Does anyboby remember what was the last thing standing after the Civic Center Fire? The wooden arch at the front of the building after everything else was destroyed.

Perhaps someone needs to protect the regular people of the Middle East from our troops!

God knows they've done some damage. Don't forget our Nation is the only one to EVER use a nuclear weapon against civillians (see the 1st picture above).

@ 12:43pm

And how about you not forget the pansy attack by the japs on december 7, 1941. The attack filled of cowardice. They had it coming.

12:43 why don't you move to those foreign countries and and fight for them. Because in my eyes your a traitor and don't deserve the freedoms our men and women of the military are fighting for.

I f you must know what it is made of , here is the truth :

1. made from very rare wood that will not rot
2. This wood is only found in China
3. The base is buried 20 feet in the ground

So you might say " made in China"
For Japan

12:43 - Two nuclear bombs saved hundreds of thousands of US troop's lives had we been forced to invade Japan. Yep, we are the only country to use nuclear weapons against humanity. Had we not you may not be here to bitch about it (assuming you had a relative that may have had to hit the beach while invading a Japanese territory or main land).

12:43 - I celebrate Pearl-Harbor day in August....on the dates those two weapons were dropped on the nation that sprang such cowardice on the world. I only wish that we had used it again after 9/11....it wouldn't have taken us this long to catch SH or UBL - they would have been vapourised....and we would still be able to fly without taking our shoes off......
