Someone please tell me what the HELL's wrong with all the people that run this country! Both republicans & Democrats.
We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.?
In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , Pakistan, Libya, Egypt and Turkey .. And now Japan
Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!
Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour
Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'so and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!
We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.
AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment - etc, etc.
YET.......................
They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.
Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries.
Sad isn't it?

actually medicade, medicare, and ss alone far outweigh any of the foreign aid mentioned. And much of the other foreign aid goes into the hands of private US industry i.e. American farmers, manufacturers
it's what democrats and republicans do. they are operating like they always have. the real question is why do people keep voting for these democrats and/or republicans who lie at every opportunity.
Our government is sending billions of dollas to Vietnam to take care of the damage done during the war....HELL with that..how about our veterans who have waited 40 years for the government to admit our troops were affected by agent orange. Our troops have been waiting for medical treatment for years, they are homeless and they are forgotten. It makes us fighting mad to see this in print and what our government is doing with our money..Just think how our boys could use tht money for treatment, etc.

The homeless,although i feel bad for you its not the governments job to fix you. When will we as americans start to fix ourselves?... and really the best you have is the haiti issue? The "benefits" you spoke of werent run by the government!If your going to take the time to write something at least be accurate! Our government is broken, the people we elect arent looking out for our intrests because being in politics is about money anymore.We the people need to step up and pay attention and stop crying about what we think we are entitled to.PAY ATTENTION when you vote!!!
Most will agree with you on this issue. However , in the past it was important to retain our allies.
Having Haiti as an allie is just plain stupid.
I expect nothing less from obama , it is a black nation so nothing will be done except to help. It makes him look good.
Our days of being a jock strap for all nations should be over , we just can't afford to support the world.
We do the same for mexico and many other nations.(also Italy)
Retired seniors receive "no aid"? Really? What does the author think Medicaid and Social Security are?
What's sad is that this person wrote this article without having any clue what he's talking about. Does he use any numbers to support his claims? No, he just vents based on his own ignorance.
Let's see where the federal budget really goes -- Social Security is 20% and Medicare and Medicaid make up another 21%. Foreign aid makes up 1%.
So it seems reality is exactly the opposite of what this person thinks. Seniors and others in America get a lot of government aid (or welfare -- Social Security and Medicare are nothing more than welfare programs aimed at the elderly and not the poor). Foreign countries get almost nothing.
It would be nice if the stuff posted here were fact-checked first. A good way to do that is if it comes via e-mail forward, it's probably false.
Iam so sick of all the help overseas .clean your own back yard frist. do you think anyone of them would hep us ? hell no.

We need to keep our money HERE!
We help all these other countries after floods, tsunami's, earthquakes, etc.

The sad fact is we are lost. There is no single politician we can elect that can fix anything. The corruption in all goverment prevents any honest American from doing anything to make real change. The back door politics and nepatism is here to stay. If you are nelwy elected you find out real fast if you do not play the game you are out. The problem had to be fixed sixty years ago.
I guess one needs to ask themself why would a rich man want to be in politics. It is simple to get richer. It is not the salary that does it. The earmarks,crazy pension and benefits. The back room dealings that get them rich. It truly is sad.
The rapture is the only thing that can save us now.

Ok so if everyone feels this way, and I do, why in the hell are we still doing it? Why aren't we in front og the White house with our signs protesting? Why aren't we physically removing these creeps from office? An armed escort out of office? Because we are pussies that's why! Our forefathers - not just the founding fathers - are spinning in their graves! They fought for our freedom. The wars in Afghanistan, Libya, etc., aren't for our freedom. They are for profit! Until we stand and demand accountability for these atrocities we will get much more of the same. So unless you are ready to stand the hell up and actually do something about it, shut the hell up! And if you're too old or out of shape to carry a gun you can still cook for those who can or drive a truck or a car for transport. Wake up America! Revolution is at hand!
I've paid into Social Security all my life. When I retire I expect to be able to re-coup some of my inventment.
8:58 you made no investment. You paid for those ahead of you in the Social Security line. And those who are entering the workforce now will pay for those who retire ahead of them. BIG difference between an investment and a ponzi scheme. And make no mistake, social security is the largest ponzi scheme ever perpetrated against any population since the beginning of time. Welcome to the nightmare. Ponzi schemes always come to an end unfunded with victims. This one is no different.
