No. I think he's over his head and he knows it. That's why he kept Shea so long and is trying to put together a group to do his job for him becuase he knows he can never be anything more than a figurehead, at best. He let people in Fruitland do his work and has done it ever since he became the "county NIXTutive". We need to "NIX" him as soon as we can! A total waste of breath, or HOT AIR in his case. Liar, Liar, pants on fire!!
If he is, good for him. But the real question is, so what if he is or isn't? Must be a slow news day if this is what you think people care about.

I feel the need to chime in here for a second. So, you're saying its ok for Wicomico County Taxpayers to pay Rick's salary for the next 4 years while he campaigns for a new job?????
He has the qualifications for a Maryland state job, Pollitt has proved himself totally worthless.

You seem to be the only one who thinks he's campaigning for a new job. Any job anyone does can be viewed as a stepping stone. If he gets noticed for promoting Wicomico County, that's ok by me. I don't care where he goes next.
The day he decided to enter the race for County Executive he had his sights on bigger things and sweet $$$ as he moves through county politics learning the state ropes at our cost ultimately securing a very nice state retirement on the backs of Wicomico County Taxpayers. Anyone that doubts this thinks the sky is green and needs to take their meds!
Simple solution -- see that he is never elected again -- even as dogcatcher.
I am continually amazed at the insight of your readers. They all know everything about everybody, their motives, their dreams, their history. How did they get to be so smart???? I am equally impressed that they have all this knowledge without actually knowing the person/people they are talking about.
Good for Rick. He and his family and given to serve the public for many many years.
Pollitt will need a new job in 3 years and he won't want to step backwards. So it's logical he will look forward to something bigger and better.
