SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (AP) - Police say a Virginia man found dead in his home was killed by his pit bull.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Department says in a news release that an autopsy found indications of paw marks on the victim's body and defensive wounds on the fingers and hands.

Police say the body of 38-year-old David Quyon Haigler was found Saturday in his home by his 18-year-old son.

I got your back.

He probably abused it and deserved it. I will admit that my pit is a big baby and would never hurt me, but he would tear anyone to shreads that threatened me.

I hope you have gone and gotten trained on how to live and control this big baby from a professional animal behaviorist. Aggressive breed dogs of this size and larger, are not something a self trained owner should ever take on by themselves. Their potential for catastrophe injury (simply do to their size and power), and unpredictable aggression (due to inbreeding), is a risky undertaking. This training must be continued and implemented every day (not just a eight week course as a puppy and done). If you are not doing this or have no idea what I am talking about, you have no business owning any animal of this type.

Rule #1 in Pitbulls--meet the mother and see what her temperment is. If she is loving and you are getting the dog as a puppy and the dog does not learn violence and hate, then the chances of agression happening are slim. And yes, I do actually have a vet in the family that has analyzed my dog. He is very territorial. If someone strange shows up in my house and I don't like it, he will attack. But he is very protective of his primary loved one. My dog is not an inbreed, His father was a boxer and mom was a pit. At times, he has the boxer personality. He is very smart and well trained, and follows all of my orders.

357 and 410 whether you like it or not bit is true that the temperament of a pit depends on its genetics but it also depends on "how you raise them." Pit bulls will attack you if you do something to them unless they have been raised in an unfit environment or are left to roam free. My pit knows not to mess with me. She respects me. If she does something wrong and I act as if I'm coming for her to discipline her, she runs just like a little "baby." She's a good dog.

One word describes each of you.
