Maryland Gets ‘D' In Manufacturing

2011 Manufacturing and Logistics Report Card from Ball State's Center for Business and Economic Research reviewed several areas that underpin the success of manufacturing and logistics.

Maryland received its highest grade, a "B+," for its venture capital, and its lowest grade, a "D" for logistics and tax climate.

"Prior to the recession, business location and expansion decisions were almost wholly driven by the availability of skilled workers,"

Delaware got an "F" for Benefit costs and an "F" for logistics. Delaware got a C- in manufacturing, and a C- in Human Capital. Looks like Maryland got an overall better score. Sorry Delaware, go play some slots, drink and wreck on their unsafe roads.
