There are renewed calls to change a Virginia law after the death of two-year-old Ryan Murphy in Bristow, Virginia.
His mother told police she found her son unresponsive inside the family minivan at their home. Investigators said he may have been left in the family mini-van for nearly seven hours during the middle of the day. One group is pushing for a law that would make it illegal to leave a child alone in a car. "We have a slogan, zero seconds," said Becky Ball, spokeswoman for Harrison’s Hope. "We want all parents, caregivers and children to recognize it's zero seconds, never to leave a child unattended in or around a car. Not even for a second." The non-profit group educates caregivers and parents about the dangers of children being left alone in and around cars. Police said the death appears to be an accident. No charges have been filed in the case.

i disagree. if the "parents" are that stupid to leave the kid in there unattended, then they probably shouldnt have reproduced anyway.
Agreed 2:23... But, alas, parenting is one of the few occupations where you don't have to pass a test or have a diploma. And who was supposed to be watching this 2 yr old anyway? I have never forgotten about my child for a minute, let alone 7 HOURS.
That is WHY we need a CHILD ABUSE REGISTRY in this state to PROTECT our Children now before it is too late and when LAW ENFORECEMENT comes to a scene they can check if u r on a child abuse registry and deal with you ..SO PLEASE CALL ELECTED PERSONS AND DEMAND A CHILD ABUSE REGISTRIES.
what we really need is an idiot registry.
An idiot registry you can petition to add people to based on an experience with them.
