It was a wonderful evening. Great entertainment and holiday spirit. Fruitland is a great place to live, and raise a family. Smalltown America at its finest!!
Great place to live, i beg to differ for a family it is hard to live and make a living with the taxes we pay and the water bill going up all the time, guarantee when the housing market ever does get back to booming again, you will see alot of families moving out of fruitland.
With the exception of last year, the tax rate has been the same for the last 10 years or so. I agree that the water and sewer is high, but from my understanding, the state has made regulations so tough to meet for the sewer plant, that it causes the costs to go up.
State regs don't make the rates go up as high as they are in Fruitland. Too much money is being spent and they won't give us a line item budget to show what our fees are being spent on. What are they hiding?
I for one will be leaving Fruitland once housing market goes back up. I don't agree with all the new ordinaces that they have been passing. Next they will tell us how many family members can live in one house and how many cars you are allowed to park in your driveway.
