Happy Halloween!!! 
For those of you who plan to take part in Halloween festivities this weekend, I want to caution you about a few things.
As your parents probably told you on several occasions when you were a little kid, don’t walk around alone or get separate from your group, check your candy before you decide to eat it, and if it does not look right, then it is probably not good for you.
Well, my rules are no different…, well maybe they are….
So “here we go, my rules to keep you safe this weekend and to keep you around for the remainder of the year.
- Check your Pipe or Cigarette before you smoke it – if it contains any illegal substance, we will have you on a broomstick out of here sooner than you think.
- Check your bev40rage before your drink it – if you are not 21 or you simply turn into a Goon or Goblin after a few drinks, it will appear that you are dressed in a “donkey” costume to your friends and to the community.
- Check your right jab before you toss it or your uppercut before you lift it. Whether or not you are dressed like Mike Tyson for Halloween, if you fight, we will retire you for the at least a year from SU.
- So whether you go out or not, have a great time, be safe, respect the men and women of SafeRide, and whatever you do, don’t be a “Donkey”

Is the University encouraging college students to Trick or Treat? That would be absurd. It's something reserved for young children.
No, they were acknowledging that Halloween is a big party night, and letting the students know the consequences for certain misbehaviors, ahead of time.
Like stealing mail box flags and destroying the mail boxes.

I think this should be laminated and put up all over the campus, and in the ghettos-- and enforced.
Give these folk some CONSEQUENCES for misbehaving, and maybe they won't, eh?
I have a college student living with me this year. She ttended the Halloween party held in the Wicomico Rm Saturday night. She had a great time and came home sober. There are some good kids out there that can be responsible while having fun. Don't let the bad ones ruin it for all of them.
It did not work, they were out of control. Salisbury Police so overwhelemed with calls that they were calling the Sheriff and State to come in to handle calls for service. 99% of the calls were at the zoo, the new zoo and the college areas around Smith Street.
whats funny is that SU actually thinks they're a party school. LOL
it's kind of sad that it has now become necessary to address college age students as if they are children to try and make a point.
They are not going to kick anyone out of school for what is listed in this little "rules" list. I have seen students steal from the University and not lose a day. Fight and destroy University property and not lose a day. It's all talk......same as always.
