It was just a joke, lighten up. And it was funny on several levels without insulting gay people...the people who didn't get the humor are probably the same one who think the Republicans are going to crush the opposition on Tuesday because of "scare tactics" or "hatemongering" or such, NOT because 1 in 5 Americans are unemployed or underemployed, or that the Democrats have approved a budget that basically uses 2.3 TRILLION --- thats right, TRILLION -- dollars worth of bad checks to pay for things, or they passed a health care bill in spite of the fact they didn't know what was in it (Pelosi, 2009). No, people aren't fed up with these shenanigans, oh no.... they are just "haters"....lol....

what you have said is true and I applaud those voting against Dems this year for those reasons. BUT, you know that if we were running a budget surplus with unemployment on the way down and even with minor changes to healthcare there is a huge block of conservatives that simply don't like pres. obama based off of lies and misinformation. Like the fake quotes attributed to Obama regarding veterans' healthcare. Or the pic. of Obama supposedly not saluting the flag during the anthem when the band was really playing "Hail to the Chief". Or the Birthers. Or the "secret muslim' crowd. The list goes on.
2:03 if part of your comment was meant to insinuate that those 1 out of 5 unemployed people are going to vote Republican, I really hope that doesn't end up being the truth. Numerous Republican candidates have gone on record saying unemployment benefits are "unconstitutional", want to lower minimum wage, privatize social security, etc. I can't see any way whatsoever how this platform could help someone who is currently unemployed. The average joe is so often tricked into voting against his own interest.
