This is not about credit cards but is about saving money every month. I called Comcast to tell them that I could no longer afford their exorbitant fees. I told them that I was seriously considering the Dish network. I was then told that my Comcast bill would be $20.00 per month less than it had been if I would stay with them. That's $240.00 per year less, not bad!

You gave up something with Comcast. You may not realize it now, but you will. They may have decreased your internet speed for example if you have the internet service with them as well.
You will always lose something. Comcast just doesn't lower their rate for nothing.

comcast does not care about retaining customers. locally, they are very comfortable being the only cable company in town. nationally, they even mock the consumer in their commercials. have you seen the new one they mention that you might try and leave but you'll be back... all the while they mockingly play the song "welcome back" in the background?
