Grocery Prices Are Going Up

Demand for grain is higher. That means products you eat every day -- cereal, chicken, bread and pasta -- are rising in price.

Grocery chains, including Safeway, say they plan to pass the costs along to you, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Food makers, Kraft Foods, Sara Lee Corp. and General Mills, in August said prices would be going up. Now, Kellogg's is hinting the same thing.

Some food makers are targeting the $1 price point and then changing their package sizes to get you to buy.
Why are food prices going up?

Demand for meat in China, India and other markets is driving up prices for grain. That in turn leads to higher prices for chicken, steak, bread and pasta.

It's been going up for a while. Everything increased in price when gas and diesel was so expensive but it never came down. Now things are still going up and packages are getting smaller. Remember when ice cream was 2 quarts, not anymore, you could get 4 cans of veggies for a dollar, then it went to 3 for a dollar.... last week I saw them for a dollar a can. Everthing is going up but peoples paychecks.

Bull! The demand is not higher. The value of the U.S. Dollar is dropping like a rock because the Fed is printing it like it is newspaper.

It's one thing to monetize our debt. However, they are monetizing the debt (inflating the currency, ie. creating inflation of prices arbitrarily) and charging us interest on the fiat notes at the same time. They are having it both ways!

Congress has the authority to monetize the debt and print interest-free money.

The Fed is a criminal organization who has controll of our government.

Another reason may be all the corn used to make etanol for gasoline to compensate for the global warming hoax.

Grow your own OR support the local organic/family farms. Remember , food doesn't come from a grocery store...It comes from the farm! There are plenty of honest hard working local farmers to keep food on your table. Keep the buck local and it will reap major benefits. Try cooking at home with wholesome ingredients! If everyone changes their mindset a little, their money will go much farther. Wake up Folks!

Love those free range chickens and eggs...Yummy!

Also, it is so easy and cheaper to make homemade bread if you make several loaves at once.
