SHERIFF JONES OBTAINS COMPUTER ENHANCEMENTS FOR PATROL UNITS

Sheriff Robert N. Jones has obtained 12 computer Mobile Data Terminals for patrol vehicles.  These units are currently being installed and were obtained in cooperation with the Somerset County Department of Emergency Services.

Sheriff Jones has made application to the Governor’s Office for Crime Prevention for a grant to procure 12 additional computer Mobile Data Terminals.

MDATs will enable deputies to streamline their daily duties.

Looks like retired Trooper Ronnie Howards is doing a lot of good work for the Somerset Sheriff's Office

And he will probably replace Sheriff Jones after he retires. So no need to vote for baldy Webster. He's no good for law enforcement or Somerset County.

Good thing Ronnie's there-- Bobby probably doesn't have a clue how to operate that unit. :-)

Is it 12 or 24, how many cars they have?

Why do they need them, they only work the courts and serve riminal summons? Wouldn't they better serve Princess Anne or Crisfield Police Department who responds and handles more calls then the Sheriffs Office or MSP combined?

Again I feel compelled to remind the last commentator that there is a Sheriffs Deputy patrolling Crisfield on a regular basis.
