Andy Harris Statement On September Jobs Report

SEVERNA PARK, Md. – Andy Harris released the following statement regarding the Department of Labor September Jobs Report:

“Once again, the Labor Department’s Jobs Report shows the so-called Stimulus was a complete failure. America losing 95,000 jobs in September and the unemployment rate remaining stagnant at 9.6 percent is proof positive that our economy must be stimulated from the bottom up, not the top down. Congress' focus on reckless spending sprees did nothing except put more Americans out of work and put our economy in the perilous position it is in today.  We need to refocus our priorities on supporting small businesses in order to create private sector jobs. The Stimulus was just plain bad policy that pushed our country further into debt, yet Congressman Frank Kratovil said he would vote for it again. We need new faces in Washington to fix the mess that the Pelosi/Kratovil Team has created.”
