I watched your interview with Joe, as well as all 3 of your "ads" posted here on the blog.
There is one issue which you have failed to discuss during this campaign:
THE FINAL DISPOSITION OF THE LANDFILL FIASCO!!
I want to see a list of actions that have been taken as a result of the corruption/theft/etc from the county operated landfill:
1) How many county employees were involved directly or indirectly?? Who are they?
2) How many of them either quit, or had to be fired (and did you fire them)? How many are still employed by the county?
3) Who had criminal charges filed against them, and what is the status of those so charged?
4) Did you file any civil suits against any of them, to recover ill-gotten gains at the expense of the county (and by extension, us the taxpayers)?
5) What changes in personnel and procedures have been made to ensure a similar fiasco won't occur either at the landfill, or any other county operated facility?
As county executive, I believe that it's important to report on this. Keeping the public informed.
While I acknowledge some of this information may have been reported here and elsewhere over the past couple of years, a summary of the whole thing would be appreciated.
