Rasmussen Shows Mikulski's Lead Drops By 9% In One Month

Latest Rasmussen Poll Shows Wargotz Closing the Gap

Annapolis
- A recent Rasmussen Reports poll shows Senator Mikulski's support is eroding in Maryland. In a July Rasmussen Reports poll Mikulski had a 25% lead over Eric Wargotz M.D, but in the most recent polling Mikuski's lead had eroded to only 16%. The results of the poll show Mikulski is at her weakest point since her first election to the United States Senate 24 years ago.

Here are key findings from the poll:
Mikulski's 25% lead in July has shrunk to 16%. Mikulski leads Wargotz 55%-39% in the recent surveyMikulski had an approval rating of 58% which shows some people who approve of the job she is doing will not be voting for her in November. This highlights voters desire for new leadership. This is also evident in polling of Governor Martin O'Malley.

92% of voters rank the economy as "poor or fair" and 74% of voters think the economy is either "getting worse" or "about the same".

"Support for Mikulski is eroding quickly. Marylanders clearly want new leadership." Eric Wargotz M.D. said. "The poll shows we have work to do, but I am confident as we continue getting our message of creating jobs, cutting spending, and lowering taxes out to voters we will be victorious in November."

Great to see Maryland moving in the right direction. Glad to see my man Wargotz making a difference and closing the gap.
