'Make no mistake about it — we are coming after you,' says mayor of Pa. city
READING, Pa. — Owners neglecting their property in one eastern Pennsylvania city are getting an online shaming.
Reading Mayor Tom McMahon announced a new online "Wall of Shame" featuring blighted properties that he said would be torn down unless owners fix them up. The property owners' names are posted along with pictures and addresses.
"We are ramping up our focus on irresponsible property owners that are bringing blight into our city neighborhoods," McMahon said in a statement Monday after touring one property.

this kind of talk must be stopped. suppose it started down here.
Get yourself some stucko and some illegals and you can put a new dress on the old girl for 61.00 bucks.
Oh go ahead PA, get it done, good for them. Keep up the property or away it goes!

Look up the stats on Reading, PA....plenty of illegals there...not long before Salisbury looks the same...
They are targeting "property owners", not just "landlords" like Salisbury is. Ireton's project should be less prejudical and target problem properties regardless of its status. My neighbor, whom owns his home, looks like a regular crap hole compared to mine. Knee high grass, peeling paint, and accumulating trash in the back yard. Why isn't he being targeted? I guess his run down property contributes less to the status of our neighborhood than us slum loving rentals do!
7:38 PM - got one next to me the same way. I agree, Ireton should target property owners, not just slum rentals. I really get tired of all the trash accumulation, tall weeds, downed limbs, etc. No one should have to call and report anyone for such nonsense. If Ireton and company can go out and find the slum rentals, they can certainly go out and find the slum property owners.
