Tight Race Should Focus On The Past
After the fourth published poll showed Martin O’Malley and Bob Ehrlich a few percentage points apart, Democrats and the O’Malley campaign had to make the best of the obvious.
“It's gonna be tight,” said Democratic Party Chair Susan Turnbull in an e-mailed fundraising letter last week. “We’ve known all along that the governor’s race was going to be close. There will be many polls between now and November to prove it.”
O’Malley campaign manager Tom Russell, making a similar appeal for money said: “We've seen a number of polls on our race in the last few weeks. Every one of them tells us that this race will be close.”

And Mr. Murphy is where????
This kind of BS is out there to squash Murphy and support the two lounge lizards that have had us all bent over for years!!!
Vote Murphy and throw these two Bas7ards OUT!
Between the "Flush" man and the "Flush-revenue" thief, there isn't a real choice here. I'll take door number three - I see Murphy in there!
Please be serious? Maryland is a 2 to 1 democratic state, no way 120 pound Murphy is going to get moderate Republicans and soft dems vote. Please read the papers and get with the times.
anonymous 11:36, then do tell us how Ehrlich got elected then??????
O'Malley is giving our money away in entitlements while public safety goes begging...and many of those who receive entitlements are the worst offenders.
ENOUGH! THROW THE BUMS OUT!!!!
I'm a democrat and it is too early to grade Obama. He has to work through 8 years of overspending from Bush administration. However, there needs to be more focus on domestic issues. The minority communities in Maryland are suffering. Child sex abuse is up, drug use is tolerated, and too much poverty and neglected children. Lets do away with Section 8 housing because it attracts criminals to set up shop for illegal activites. I prefer Habitat for housing. All people receiving food stamps and cash assistance must submit to random narcotic drug testing or their cases will be closed. I have so many ideas, but the democrats who control things will not listen to a small town person with good ideas. I would gladly work with a republican candidate who feels the same passion I do for safety among our young people.
The flush tax was actually used for good- upgrading the largest waste water plants in the state. O'Malley spoke out against it when he ran the first time, but strangely never attempted to repeal it and word is, instead he raided the fund for other things. Then he raised other taxes. Get him outta there!
