One Year Ago Today
CASH FOR CLUNKERS was in full swing, dealers were selling out of cars faster than they came in and the auto industry was rebounding better than it had ever experienced.

And then, as soon as the program ended, sales dropped dramatically. This program didn't make the industry rebound, it simply shifted demand. And when you consider all the good used cars that were destroyed because of it, this program actually destroyed wealth in our nation.
"Cash for Clunkers" was a huge debacle that did nothing to help the recession and ultimately hurt our economy.
i would be curious to know just what percentage has been repoed since then. I mean they sold homes to people that couldnt afford them so you know with this they pushed cars people couldnt afford either

Yep! That's where I purchased my new Toyota Prius to replace my GM Buick thanks to $4500 Obama Cash. Right there in the first photo.
My bet is that China purchases majority shares in GM during the upcoming IPO. They have already purchased Volvo from Ford. Goodbye UAW?
