The last time public housing rosters were opened up, the city got 2,400 apps. This time, they thought maybe 10,000 would show up. Instead, an estimated 30,000 people descended on an Atlanta parking lot last week so they could pick up an application for public housing. 60 had to be taken to the hospital after fights or just from heat exhaustion. 12;49...THAT'S funny, but sadly true...something else thats a sad commentary is the fact that these 30,000 (!!) people think that in 8-10 years they will STILL want or need to be in public housing!! Is that their life plan? Something they aspire to? If someone told me I could apply for a CHANCE to win a Mercedes in 8-10 years and all I had to do was wait in95 degree heat and fight a few people, well, LOL! get a job, biaatches and quit looking for someone to GIVE you something, feed you and your keeeds, take you places, provide doctors and medical care....jeeez. Work. Improve yourself. Quit whining that nobody be gibin yo no chance...
This is the result of way too many years of liberalism. The real problem is that it is so deeply embedded in our society that there is no way to reverse it. America is doomed.
Unreal....only in this country can something simple turn into a riot disaster.Its supposed to be a helping hand not a way of life,to live in subsidized housing.
Just imagine if they were giving away free beer!
