In a shocking but not surprising ruling, US District Judge Susan Bolton today halted implementation of the main portions of the Arizona law enforcing the law against illegal aliens. WTOP reported that Bolton, appointed by former President Clinton (D), halted portions of the law including sections that required officers to check a person's immigration status while enforcing other laws.
The judge also delayed parts of the law that required immigrants to carry their papers at all times, and made it illegal for undocumented workers to solicit employment in public places, a move aimed at day laborers (good news!). In addition, the judge blocked officers from making warrantless arrests of suspected illegal immigrants.
"Requiring Arizona law enforcement officials and agencies to determine the immigration status of every person who is arrested burdens lawfully-present aliens because their liberty will be restricted while their status is checked," Bolton, a Clinton appointee, said in her decision.
AZ Governor Brewer is expected to appeal the decision of this lawless, open borders judge, so the battle for America is far from over!
One again, Elections DO Matter, so please be prepared to vote in upcoming primaries across Maryland in the coming weeks and the general elections in the fall.

You said the battle is far from over , the battle has just started , we may lose a battle , but we will win the war.
If illegals were in anyother country they would be thrown in jail as a spy or something..Here we try to register them to vote, give them food stamps,medical. Its like we dont have enough AMERICANS who need assistance and the taxpayers need a break.
How do we get so many illegals back to their home? One at a time..Lets start now.
These stupid liberal judges need a
reality check. Every U.S. citizen is required to carry ID and show it when stopped by the police. Does that mean we shouldn't show our license in a traffic stop. It is getting ridiculous the lengths we go to to be politically correct. Wake up JUDGES these are illegals and our police need to check their papers just like they check us.
i will say, as much as i would rather 'shoot on sight' she has a point. everyone carries around their drivers license, but who carries around all their 'papers'? birth certificate, social security card, etc... also, we all know the red tape that is the government. while a legal is pulled over, they would be held longer for verification. hence the 'undue' delay. BUT, we have to find a way to enforce this law somehow.

I think if I should get pulled over by a cop that I just might REFUSE to give him my license.
Let him arrest me and then I'll sue for descrimination.
If they aren't going to make the ILLEGALS show valid identification then why should I as a LEGAL citizen have to do so?

IF the illegal is legal he will have an ID simple as that. He wont have to go looking for it! If I dont have an ID ON ME WHEN STOPPED BY THE POLICE I WILL BE ESCORTED HOME TO GET IT. WHY ARE THE ILLEGALS SO DIFFERENT? We might hurt their feelings? Oh well.

Wrong, if you are stopped and do not have an ID, the cop will not detain you. Many a criminal has escaped by providing a false name and saying they did not have their license on them

Alex she struck down the mandatory law that police have to check immigration status but then said they could if they want to . So you tell me who Mickey mouse is . Also why do you believe tax payers should give criminal aliens a free ride ?

Texas high school students raised a Mexican flag on a school flag pole, other students took it down. Guess who was expelled...the students who took it down.
California high school students were sent home on Cinco de Mayo, because they wore T-shirts with the American flag printed on them.
