Statement From Bob Ehrlich

“While more than 200,000 Marylanders are out of work, while our taxes rise and our incomes fall, Governor O’Malley has chosen to mislead you with falsehoods about my record in an effort to distract you from his.

“Martin O’Malley has placed an advertisement on the radio which is so clearly false and transparently dishonest that it debases the office we both seek. The ad shows not just a disregard for the truth, but a calculated intent to deceive the voters of Maryland; it is contemptible.

“To suggest that I somehow favored or caused the Gulf oil disaster and now call for more coastal drilling is untrue, and Martin O’Malley knows it. I am not a lobbyist and Martin O’Malley knows that too.

“What matters is more jobs, lower taxes and a strong economy for Marylanders. Governor O’Malley has already damaged our reputation as a place to do business; we should not allow him to do the same to our standards for honest political debate.

“The truth has to matter too. Honesty has to count for something. Has the O’Malley campaign no decency, and will they do anything to win?”

EDITOR'S NOTE: For what it's worth, he sent that press release to Salisbury News and we rejected it.

Owe Malley is a POS that bamboozled his way into office. Name one thing he has done for the eastern shore.
