One Year Ago Today

While there were good intentions by some, Urban Salisbury was unsuccessful in an attempt to do things their way in revitalizing Downtown Salisbury.

To have a successful business or prove you are a successful leader, you have to deliver. I struggle, (as well as others) understanding just what Urban Salisbury has done for all the money the taxpayers deliver every year to this organization.

Yesterday I asked in a Post for someone, anyone, please tell me just what it is that County Executive Rick Pollitt has done for Wicomico County over the past four years. Do you know how many responses I got to that question, NONE!

I have asked in the past, what has Urban Salisbury done, (for the money) for Salisbury. Again, there's been no response. That being said, just what will it take for our leaders, (but more importantly the taxpayers) to open their eyes and see good money going after bad money.

If you hire a guy to mow your entire lawn for $50.00 and he only cuts two strips, comes to your front door and says, I'll take that money now. What would you say Folks? The lawn is the goal. The Mayor should be demanding Urban Salisbury be accountable by delivering a goal. If they do nothing to come even close to mowing the lawn, they should be fired, period. The same goes for your County Executive, city and county council members and so forth and so on.

Take back your City & County Folks. Elections are just around the corner. Encourage those who are on the fence to step up and run for public office. Find someone strong enough to stand up to these organizations and say, deliver or we're done with you.

Favorable bond rating (somebody in business must see something they like,) Senior Center, Maintenance Waiver from State BOE. Just as somebody did respond to you yesterday, I think the seniors and young people have especially seen benefit from Pollit's four years. Just saying, the guy's not a total washout.

Urban Salisbury - thousands of dollars in grants, Third Friday attention to downtown (with spending attached). Don't know what else because they've only had a year since Barrie Tilghman threw water on everything they tried to do.

Joe,as usual you don't know what you're talking about.
Urban Salisbury reports to Council regularly and can prove that they bring a real dollar return on every cent the City invests plus economic benefits far beyond anything you've ever done for this community.
