Why would anyone own that gun? Certainly not for hunting or protection. That is an assault weapon.

Why would anyone own a sports car its not good on gas and has no room in it..Get real people, This is america I should be able to own anything I want as long as I am responsible with it!

Any candidate packing heat has my vote.

9:35.... so what? Now it's up to you to determine what people can own and what they can't? Why would anyone own antique dinner wear if they don't eat off of them? Why would anyone own antique cars if they don't drive them?

Because they want to!

Oh...and this one little thing. ...The right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed. What part of that do you not understand?

935-The Thompson is a piece of American history. Fun gun to shoot too.

9:35 what a stupid comment .

Maybe it plays in Arizona, but it wouldn't do anything to get my vote. Even the voice over talent is comedic.

All of you thinking this is an absurd ad remeber one thing don't come running my way when the adults in your family needs to be defended after continuosly trying to take away my right to bear arms of my choice. All children will be welcome to come since they cannot defend for themselves. I will not hold their parents stupidity against them.

I'd vote for her. And to 9:35--- one day soon YOU will wish you had a gun like that....don't come to my house asking for help, either...you seem to be one of those people that just doesn't see any reason for people to have a gun and because YOU don't like them, YOU don't want anyone else to have them either, right?? I hope Marquis Cortez (or someone like him) doesn't come to your house tonight...what would you do?? Some love and sympathy?

The only shame in the ad is that she is wasting the ammo. She could be shooting at illegals that have crossed the boarder into Arizona!

10:21 you show your ignorance. I am all for gun control but any idiot can fire a weapon. Just look a Palin (Burn!) She's obviously not hitting anything. She looks like she's aiming over a wall or something with the handgun. Please vote for the person you think would do the best job leading... not the person who can fire a weapon. I'm sure that those who HAVE to fire weapons would appreciate it.

the video was MADE to solicit certain reactions that America is reacting too. And trust me something this campy took hours in edit to create!

It's over the top and an opening salvo in a campaign MEANT for local consumption. The area is very conservative and they eat this format up. (gal shooting guns!) It's called a "positioning statement" and you can do it with a jar of peanet butter or a political candidate. It's like a "calling card" - she does have everyones attention now.. even outside her district.

Every element in it. The VO talent that sounds like it was recorded in some guys living room, the home shot video, even the lack of music was on purpose.
All to solicit a strong branding response. I think it worked.
