Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 30 April 2010
Location: 300 block of Carey Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Andrew Canterbury, 21, Princess Anne, MD


Narrative: On 30 April 2010 at 8:27 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 300 block of Carey Avenue for a reported disorderly subject.

Upon arrival, the deputy met with the resident who advised that her son, Andrew Canterbury had come to the residence seeking money and became enraged when she refused to give him any. The deputy learned that Canterbury pushed the victim into a window causing damage to the window and injury to the victim. At the conclusion of the investigation, the deputy placed Canterbury under arrest.

The deputy transported Canterbury to the Central Booking Unit at the Wicomico County Detention Center where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial hearing, the Commissioner detained Canterbury in the Detention Center in lieu of $15,000.00 bond.

Malicious Destruction of Property

Location: 27000 block of Crooked Oak Lane, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Andrigo M. Prevento, 65, Salisbury, MD


Narrative: On 1 May 2010 at 12:51 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the 27000 block of Crooked Oak Lane to investigate a reported altercation that was occurring there. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a female subject who advised she was in an argument with her husband Andrigo Prevento when he retrieved a folding knife, opened it and walked towards her. Based on his actions and statements made, she was in fear of her life which caused her to summons law enforcement.

After an investigation, the deputy placed Prevento under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Prevento on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Possession of Marijuana
Date of Incident: 2 May 2010
Location: Flamingo Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: 1. Male Juvenile, 16, Salisbury, MD
2. Male Juvenile, 17, Salisbury, MD
3. Male Juvenile, 16, Salisbury, MD


Narrative: On 2 May 2010 at 7:14 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a trespassing complaint of subjects on the property of a vacant residence. Upon arrival, the deputy walked to the rear of the property where he located three juveniles in the process of rolling a blunt. During the encounter, the deputy recovered a baggie of material that was recognized as marijuana. All three juveniles were transported back to the Sheriff’s Office.
At the Sheriff’s Office all three were processed and charged on a juvenile referral. All three were released to either a parent or guardian pending formal adjudication by the Department of Juvenile Services.
