Salisbury Police Department Press Releases



On January 20, 2010 at approximately 6:34 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the three hundred (300) block of South Haven Street for the report of a malicious destruction of property which was found to be an assault with a bb gun. Upon arrival the officers met with a victim who advised that he had been operating his vehicle with a friend in the area of South Haven Street and Roger Street when a projectile struck the passenger side window of the vehicle and broke the window. The projectile traveled through the window and injured the victim. The officers observed that the victim had sustained a bb wound to the left cheek of his face. The victim was transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center for treatment and was released. Officers searched the area and located the below listed suspect in a shed behind a residence on South Haven Street. The officers recovered a bb rifle and took the suspect into custody.

ARRESTED: Juvenile, 13 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
First degree assault
Second degree assault
Reckless endangerment
Possession of a dangerous and deadly weapon
Discharge of an airgun in the city
Malicious destruction of property

DISPOSITION: Released to Juvenile Justice CC # 201000002941


On January 21, 2010 at approximately 11:41 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police responded to a residence on Cynthia Place in an effort to serve an active bench warrant. Upon arrival the officers made contact with the below listed suspect. During contact with the suspect, the officers observed suspected marijuana and related paraphernalia in plain view in the residence. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

ARRESTED: Jason John Anderson, 19 years of age Pasadena, Maryland

CHARGES:
Possession of marijuana
Possession of CDS/paraphernalia (2 counts)

DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking CC # 201000003075

On January 21, 2010 at approximately 3:30 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Pemberton Apartments on Fairground Drive for the report of a fight. Upon arrival the officers met with complex security who advised that the below listed suspect had been observed assaulting another subject. The officers attempted to meet with the suspect however the suspect refused to cooperate with the investigation and became disorderly.

ARRESTED: Taquelle Donta Johnson, 18 years of age Salisbury, Maryland

CHARGES:
Obstructing and hindering an investigation
Disorderly conduct
