Laurel Women Arrested In Connection With Two Millsboro Crimes

Delaware State Police on Tuesday December 29th, 2009 investigated a home invasion in the 29000 block of Honeysuckle Knoll Millsboro Delaware. The home invasion occurred around 8:30 P.M.

During the Honeysuckle home invasion 5 suspects forced their way into the residence and confronted two victims ages 59 and 51. One of the suspects during this home invasion struck the 59 year old male’s head with a handgun. The male victim was treated and released from Beebe Medical Center Lewes for a head laceration. The 51 year old female was not harmed.

The suspects displayed guns, demanded money and ransacked the residence and fled. It is not believed they obtained any property.

On December 31st, 2009 Delaware State Police investigated an attempted burglary in the 31000 block of Sylvester Lane Millsboro which occurred around 9 P.M. The 51 year old female from the first incident on December 29th is also a victim in this incident.

During the December 31st incident the victim was inside her residence when she heard a loud noise at the front of her residence. The banging sound continued for a short time. The suspects never gained entry and fled the area after causing damage to the door to the residence. The victim observed multiple suspects fleeing from her residence after the incident.

State Police through their investigation developed Tara L. Garrison as a suspect in both December incidents. State Police are following up on additional leads and expect additional arrest related to the home invasion and attempted burglary.

Tara Garrison was arrested on the above listed charges and remanded to Baylor Women’s Institute in lieu of $78,000 secured bond.
