Posted on the Air America website on Thursday:
"It is with the greatest regret, on behalf of our Board, that we must announce that Air America Media is ceasing its live programming operations as of this afternoon, and that the Company will file soon under Chapter 7 of the Bankruptcy Code to carry out an orderly winding-down of the business.
The very difficult economic environment has had a significant impact on Air America's business. This past year has seen a "perfect storm" in the media industry generally. National and local advertising revenues have fallen drastically, causing many media companies nationwide to fold or seek bankruptcy protection.. "
Blah blah blah...
So why is Conservative programming still doing quite well? Is Rush about to file for bankruptcy?
Methinks not.
Maybe this is not so much about the economy-- perhaps it's more about people not being interested in listening to this self-delusional diatribe.
"We are proud that Air America’s mission lives on through the words and actions of so many former radio hosts.."
Right. Just like The Mission will live on in many, many former Congressmen and Senators..
I think somehow we will press on without them.
Watch for a slick move in Congress shortly to provide massive funding for public radio, citing "The Economy."

I can see from he fact that the post went up at 8:55 A.M. and that at 6:30 P.M. there are no comments, that nobody care about liberal talk shows.
If you've ever listened to one of them you would feel your I.Q. dropping by the second.
