NY23 was lost by 5000+ votes... a loss that could have been won IF 7000+ Republicans didn't vote for a canidate that had withdrawn from the race... I just don't get people sometimes. To vote for someone that isn't even in the race anymore to prove a pont?????
To 8:23-Virginia and NJ were a referendum on Obama, Pelosi and Reid, and they lost. I can't wait to hear the liberal spin on this one. Oh wait-8:23 has already started. People are finally waking up. There may be some hope for a peaceful revotution after all.
Oh yeah that makes sense. What was Palin and Limbaugh running for.
Now lets look at the governor races. Obama campaigned for Corzine as recently as this past weekend. Obama won N.J. by 15 points last Nov. Corzine lost by 5 points. Sounds like a 20 point loss in one year.
In Va Obama campaigned for Deeds a week or so ago. Obama won Va. by 7 points over McCain. McDonnel won Va by 18 points. Thats a 25 point swing in one year.
Looks like unless the dems quit pushing Obamas agenda to socialize America there will be a blood bath at the polls for the Dems next Nov.
As for NY-23 I wont try to spin it like you did with N.J. and Va. It was a bad loss for Hoffman and hurt the conservatives. However unlike you dems we would rather loose a race with a candidate that we approve of than win with a RINO. Remember we did the same thing last year with the RINO Gilchrest.
I dont understand how people can make such a huge connection between the election in NJ and what will happen in a national election. It does not take into account at all any of the local factors. From some poll numbers I have seen..cant find link right now... but obama is still liked in NJ while Corinze was in the low maybe 20-30% approval rating.
Just look at the the post about Elrlrich running again and some Dem comments about them voting for him over O'malley.
It just does not seem logical to say that becuse Christie won a NJ election against an unpopular Corzine that it will have dramatic results in national elections.
These elections have nothing to do with Obama. You can tell yourself they do and imagine that the republicans are coming back. The democrats running were lousy, and if you had lost to them it might have been the most embarrassing hit your party has ever taken. But of course, that will not stop Fox from spinning this into something it is not. Remember america 54% approval rating for Obama, even Beck can't stop him.
Personally I'm just happy to see incumbents getting kicked out. That's what America needs to do to ALL incumbents in ALL elections! I don't care which party they're affiliated with!
Yeah, I remember when you beat that RINO Gilchrest. How is Congressman Harris working out for you? Do you think he and Congressman Hoffman will be best buds?
Among my Democrat friends, today, fewer are admitting that they voted for Obamma than did right after the election of 2008. We have Obama for over three more years. Too bad you Democrats can't get a "do over". So, you are doing the next best thing.... voting against ANY Democrat running for any office.
I still fail to see how Republicans winning two governorships shows anything even remotely close to how the nation, as a whole, is feeling, let alone how the president is doing.
You might as well take the local mayoral election results as a referendum on the president as well. Or even the local high school's class president elections. It's absurd.

So wait, when did governors get to vote on national legislature? Oh wait, they can't, which makes them pointless victories.

Keep saying that, I'm sure it makes you feel better about getting spanked. A closer look at the county numbers reveals much.

Democrats: Click you heels together and tell yourself. "There was no referendum in last nights election. Everyone loves Obama."
Do it again...
Convinced yourself yet? Feel better?

Proves one thing...the once great Republican Party is doomed.

Harris will win in 10 and if Hoffman decides to run he will win also.
