FIRST LADY TO SERVE BREAKFAST AT BARCLAY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN RECOGNITION OF MARYLAND HUNGER AWARENESS WEEK


ANNAPOLIS, MD
First Lady O’Malley will attend Barclay Elementary School on Thursday to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Partnership to End Childhood Hunger and to recognize Maryland Hunger Awareness Week.

At 8 a.m. on Thursday, November 19, First Lady Katie O’Malley will arrive at Barclay Elementary School in Baltimore, Maryland to serve breakfast to the students and speak to them on the importance of eating well-balanced, nutritious meals and the importance of Maryland’s four Share Our Strength Programs throughout the State.

First Lady Katie O’Malley will highlight the importance of the raising awareness for this very critical issue affecting children and adults statewide and will speak about Maryland’s commitment to ensure that no child goes without the basic nourishment needed to thrive.
