The stars of the “Wings of Freedom” national tour are three World War II-era prop aircraft…The North American P-51 Mustang, the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the Consolidated B-24 Liberator, according to SBY Airport Manager Robert L. Bryant. Bryant added that the aircraft will be displayed near Bay Land Aviation on Airport Road. The public is invited to visit on October 19th, 20th and 21st from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and on October 22nd from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Mr. Bryant said that the cost of a walk-through tour of the aircraft is $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children under 12. Also, Bryant added that “flight experiences” are available at $425 per person. The fee is a tax-deductible donation. Interested flyers may call 800-568-8924 for flight reservations or questions.
