Nothing has changed , Comegy still talks and says nothing. Shanie is still asleep at the wheel. Smith is still dumb as a brick. Terry and Debbie are the only ones that have a lick of intellegence. I will say that Debbie was looking pretty hot last night. It is so nice to see her after looking at Shanie.

What makes the S 17 dump truck a hazard? No one ever said what the hazards are.
How many streets does the city plow? They don't do a very good job on the snow emergency routes and side streets are not done either.
If they have 21 pieces of equipment to plow the city streets why aren't the streets plowed after a snow?
10:44 is right. Here are the steps they take in a snow event:
1)Wait until 5 pm to start. That way every one of the brotherhood gets overtime.
2) Drive the trucks alound until the snow is packed to ice. That way its hard frozen and will last for the 1:00 a.m. shift to get their overtime.
3) Spread sand only. Salt costs too much and melts the ice too fast. We have to make this thing last.
4) DO NOT LOWER PLOWS!!!! It scrapes the sand off the ice, and you might hit a median curb and knock a tooth out.
5) Refuel and see step 1.
Our realtor called last night, they have a contract on our house. We're leaving this godforsaken place to those of you foolish enough to remain. As long as you continue to elect tax and spend fools that is all you will get. Crime will continue to rise (our reason for leaving), infrastructure will continue to crumble, city employees will continue to be rude and unaccountable.

I'm wondering why the city doesn't contract the work for plowing the snow out to bidders. The County does much of the plowing anyway because they don't know which streets are in the county or in the city because of the careless annexations done by the city. The state contracts out their share of the plowing. Stimulate the economy Ireton, put people to work that have dump trucks just citing in there yards. Many of these people are out of work and getting ready to lose their trucks to repossession and their homes to foreclosure.
Anon 10:42, it seems you are jealous of Ms. Campbell. A blind man can see she is hot and classy. She and Ms. Cohen are truly out of their element, but I guess they smile and bear it. Comegys can hardly speak in a complete sentence that makes any sense. Louise Smith exudes the epitome of evil, and Shanie Shields simply occupys space, and a lot of it.
I agree with 10:44 am. What is such a hazard that this vehicle needs to go? I watched this meeting and thought no one ever gave a list of what the issues are with S17. But, they brought up the amount it cost to repair and when Ms. Oland was asked, she couldn't give an answer on when those repairs were done. Does anyone know anything that is supposed to know what is going on for this city? Do the employees think the citizens are all dumb?
I wish Ms. Cohen and Ms. Campbell could teach Shanie Shields how to dress and present herself for the Council meetings and the camera. Are all of her clothes sprayed on?
12:54 do you own your own plow? The city would have to furnish a plow like the state does for it's hired trucks. Where is the cost savings in that? If you owned your own plow you could contract yourself out to the state or even private owned shopping centers. Don't blame the city for using their own equipment and paying their employees. If you have a dump truck you know there are state contracts available you have to contact them and apply. It is that easy. District 1 in Salisbury might not need another hired truck so check Snow Hill and Princess Anne SHA offices. If you want to work, there is work.
@1:30 I will be the first to say Shanie is a disgrace as a representative of the people.
In her defense I would also say lets be a little empathetic. She lost her husband, her home and her job in the last couple years. What she wears has nothing to do with anything. Her attire, weight or appearance have nothing to do with her irresponsible politics.
The dump truck thing was amazing. All it came down to was nyah, nyah, we're already replacing that truck because we can. Vote on the other and shut up.
I think it's okay that everyone voted to replace the burned up one. But the administration showed once again that it has no interest in thinking about how to curb spending in these awful time.
They also showed a lousy attitude to the only two council members who have a brain and ask questions I'd want answered. Especially that redhead! What an attitude.
The mayor is a big disappointment. He bragged about how "his" council did all these great things plus cut taxes.
Anyone see that happening under his watch now? Not me! I feel betrayed.

Hey Bozo the commenter didn't say anything about owning his own plow. His comment was contracting the work out and not buying a new truck. What is the cost savings if the city has to furnish a plow?
