It's A GO! Click on link and watch!CNN) -- With a wary eye on the weather, NASA is preparing to launch its next-generation rocket on Wednesday morning.
Ares I-X is scheduled to launch from Kennedy Space Center at 8 a.m. ET, at the earliest. The launch window extends until noon, the space agency said.
Weather forecasts gave NASA only a 40 percent chance at launch. Late Tuesday and early Wednesday, rain fell on the space center and at least four lightning strikes hit near the launch pad.
UPDATE: Launch set to go at 11:08 AM.

This is wasteful spending. 400 million bucks wasted. I think this whole nasa is a big scam. Looking for other planets and stars and how far space goes. WHO cares? Its not like we are going to visit. Whats past our solor system is not going to help our economy. WAY TOO much money is being spent on that crap. It was cool to see that? that is expensive gess. And Everyone wants to complain about $2.75 per gallon of gas.
The far reaching implications of what NASA is about is not nessecarily focused on "going to visit" other solar systems. Yes those things are goals but it also produces data for research on the origins of the universe, physics, new electronic technology etc. For the scientific community it is a valuable resource. Plus if you like Satellite t.v., cordless power tools, dialysis, artifical limbs (among other things)- you can thank NASA. Is there wasteful spending? Most definatly. Could the budget be revised? Probably. But all government agencies are inefficent and nothing comes in on time or under budget.
It's usually easy to tell the ignorant apart from the intelligent. With all of the spelling and grammatical errors interlaced within the mindless drivel, I think we can be sure not to listen/read anything he/she has to say. Please leave the higher thinking to those with the capacity for such.

I suggest NASA should try build a system that enables rocket launch regardless of rain and lightening.
