SENATOR BEN CARDIN ON CAP AND TRADE COMMITTEE ASK THAT HE NOT USE CLIMATE CHANGE TO HIDE TAX HIKES
It seems everyday there is the threat of a new tax, fee, or penalty.
Now, in addition to tax ladden healthcare reform, Cap and Tax hearings have begun which will be the LARGEST TAX INCREASE IN HISTORY.
This is a tax on coal, oil, and natural gas with no specific rate. Instead the total level of use is capped and companies are forced to pay the government for emission permits purchased at auction. The amount of the taxes are unknown until the auctions.
The Pelosi, Reid, Obama strategy is to hide the gigantic tax hikes they want to fund their bailouts and big government spending inside a global warming bill.
Last year in San Francisco, Obama said that under his plan electric rates would skyrocket because industries would have to retrofit operations thereby passing costs on to their customers.
Senator Cardin is on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee.
Let's put Congress on record to figure out if this is about the environment at all, or just an excuse to hide a big tax increase.
Ask Cardin to oppose any legislation relating to climate change that includes a NET increase in government revenue.

There was a gas truck accident in princess anne this morning shutting down both sides of the highway, there was a deputy involved in an accident with a tractor trailer the other day.... everytime I logon here lately I feel like your more worried about national news or robinson clock shop than what put you on the map,getting us the local know and first!!!!!!
