Turn all law enforcement over to Sheriff Lewis and this BS will come to an end. County and City residents need ti come together and make this happen.

Where is it written that you can not have money in your pocket anywhere in the USA? Thursday is a payday for many. Maybe the guy lives in that area. That really is none of anyones business, he has every right to walk the streets anywhere he chooses, with as much money as he wants in his pockets.

When is everyone going to wake up and see that Chief Webster is NOT doing his job! The gang activity, the robberies in the city - the Wicomico County Sheriff's office can't be everywhere - and Chief Webster is not doing anything about the gang activity which is mostly in the city. I attended a Neighborhood Congress meeting this week and heard from the Sheriff's department regarding crime and gangs, but Chief Webster was conspiciously absent. What does that man do - his officers are hard at work, but they need leadership and direction, which they are not getting. And what is Mayoro Ireton doing - why isn't Webster being replaced?

From everything I've read it looks to me like Chief Webster AND Mayor Ireton need to be replaced. Maybe a recall in the near future. Thank God I live in Wicomico County..Sheriff Lewis country.

Okay, I am not involved with the SPD at all. Never have met Chief Webster either and am not defending him. I just know that each generation is getting worse because parents are not doing their job. Yeah maybe there are a lack of arrests, I was just saying it all starts way before then. Just my two cents.

I am getting sick and tired of people blaming the victim for crimes. People can speculate whatever they want about the victim of this robbery, but the man was walking down the MAIN STREET of the city in broad daylight and was robbed with deadly weapons. How can you blame him simply because he had cash in his pocket?
For example, a story about panhandling a few days ago, one commenter responded saying that the woman shouldn't have been at walmart at 11 pm anyway. THE WORLD DOES NOT SHUT DOWN AT 7 PM! Law-abiding citizens have the right to do anything legal, any time they want and not be victims of these thugs.

I didn't know this county had a Sheriff Department before Mike Lewis took over. By the way Mike Lewis will be Sheriff as long as he wants to be. The residents of this county know a great man when they see one. It's okay to put your macho feelings aside and say Mike Lewis is the top cop in the county. All the golfers on the PGA tour say that Tiger is the top golfer, so I think you can do the same. My vote is turn all law enforcement over to Sheriff Lewis and watch the criminals run out of town.
Gen-Pop is out of control and you will never be able to fix that, its not going to happen. We have created a few generations of Poppers that just dont care about right or wrong. I dont think we will ever fix that, it will only get worse over time. This is the new America and it makes me sick.
One more thing, if you want to attack the problem go after the drugs. A large majority of all this crime is dope related. I aint just talking about the street drugs.
I stopped in there once to get cigarettes and was shocked at all the crack paraphanelia they opnely sell there,and there were some really weird,zombie-like people hanging out there.That is a crackhead hotspot

First we took God out of everywhere. He isn't allowed in the schools or anywhere else. Then we took away the ability to discipline the kids. Don't you dare beat that child or that child may call protective services on the parent and the parent end up in jail. Then we started handing out free money for every extra kid that a "single" black or white female could have which effectively took away the incentive to work for that portion of the population. Then we dumbed down the children they were having by feeding them all ADD drugs. A lot of us didn't pay attention to any one thing for very long in school when we were younger either. We were sent to the principal, got a whipping, went back to class and managed to learn to pay attention to just one thing. Imagine that. And then after all that; which produced this wonderful generation of thugs and sociopaths that are running loose in our city, we hired and continue to employ someone who is not getting the job done. The true shame of it is that it will probably take someone "influential" being hurt or attacked before a true outcry is raised and something is actually done.
Between rampant illegitimate children and lack of discipline, our society has degenerated into a huge mess. The influence of rap "music" has further sent society into a tailspin. The blacks want to "get Whitey" and the white kids who listen to that crap are just stupid black wannabes. Pull up your damn pants and get some self respect!

Maybe some of those single mothers wouldnt need ADD for their kids if they didnt have so many so close together,usually after 9 months of drinking and who knows what else.I work near a housing project and normal decent people just wouldnt believe what passes for acceptable among "gen-pop"
lol, i know even when i lived in the city (not so great area), and even when i got paid...i had enough sense not to walk around with cash in my pocket, and i still don't.
not that it will stop the crime from happening...but,atleast i will still have my hard earned money (if i live to spend it).
