Important Fruitland Meeting Tonight
Interested citizens should plan to attend an important planning and zoning meeting tonight at City Hall beginning at 7:00 p.m. The long overdue updated zoning ordinance and Bennett Middle School will be discussed along with other proposed ordinances. Go to Fruitland's web site and click on "government" and "planning commission" to see the agenda. For whatever reason they are no longer posting important meetings on their homepage.

They don't want people to attend. Someone might actually speak up against something.
Wish I had known sooner. I wonder if they plan to post a draft of the new ordinance before it is passed?
6:57 PM - Sounds like Wicomico County Council.
I believe anything coming out of this meeting must be passed by the council, so there will be more discussion opportunities--
People in Fruitland need to get to meetings and start asking lots of questions of the council members. The town is being run into the ground and nobody seems to know or care till the bill arrives in the mail.
There's big-time financial trouble ahead-- get ready.
"There's big-time financial trouble ahead-- get ready."
Like what Ms. Cleo? Please explain.
I don't this all of this matters. Gov. Omalley has cancelled all funding for the new Bennett Middle School, and Wicomico County has no funding to replace the millions it would take to build it.
Just let the county take over to save us tax dollars. The towns are just another layer of bureaucracy that saps us dry.
9:31 Been there Done that! Asked questions which they don't want to answer. It's clear Fruitland City Council is like the Salisbury City Council when it comes to the votes 3-2. I hear there will be an election next year. Maybe there should be a rule "person applying has to have a brain in order to perform said duties."
